Purpose
Presentation at PARIS Panel and Profile EMR ATP is arranged early on in the clinic implementation process after the requirements gathering has been completed. These steps are to provide awareness of the work item, help to navigate work item and barriers, and evaluate impacts on other teams.
Pre-Requisites
- Requirements gathering should have been completed to identify any issues that need to be answered by the panel
Decide if PARIS Panel is Required
Since generic referrals are used, a PARIS team is not required for EVERY clinic go live. The only scenarios where a PARIS Panel is required are if they have any existing workflows or new workflows that can’t be accommodated in Profile EMR (i.e., immunizations).
Pre-Requisites
- Introduction to Workbooks section on Profile EMR-PARIS Integration is filled out
- If answer in both of the questions above = No, no PARIS Panel is required
- If answer in one or more questions above = Yes, PARIS Panel is required
Request to Present at PARIS Panel
A PARIS panel is arranged very early on in the clinic implementation process after the requirements gathering has been completed. Panel meetings always include the following members Analysis and Design, Clinical, Dev/Tech, Sys Admin, User Readiness and Leadership.
The purpose of the panel is to:
- Provide awareness of the work item to other work streams
- Help to navigate work item/ barriers
- Identify Subject Matter Experts (SME’s)
- Evaluate impacts on other teams
- Ensure required activities aren’t missed

- Panel Workplan Template
- Link to Workflows in Work Item folder

Instructions
- Complete the Panel work plan template
- Fill in "Requirements and Specifications" Tab
- Complete Workitem Questions Tab
- Fill in Workitem "Lead Response" (column B) for each question based on what you know (Yes, No or Unknown)
- Add any questions for panel members that you would like answered at the Panel or that you require further assistance with
- In the new clinic JIRA request, update the Panel Story as required

Instructions
- At the panel presentation, provide a high level summary:
- Problem
- Target date
- Type of Request / Proposed Solution / Scope
- What is unique about request?
- High level plan of action
- Impacts
- Resources Needed
- Estimated Hours
- Questions for Panel
- Panel attendees will provide feedback/concerns
- At the end of the panel, summarize actions and recommendations
- A designated resource will be assigned, if there is work required to be done with Paris Team.
Follow Up with PARIS Panel Recommendations
Instructions
- Ensure to consider all recommendation provided at the Panel while you are working through the activities of the clinic implementation.
Present at Profile EMR Analyst Touchpoint Meeting
Instructions
- Once you have completed the Panel, add the Clinic Implementation Work Item to the ATP One Note.
- Present with the team your work plan for this Clinic Implementation. If you have any outstanding questions about risks and considers, this meeting is were you can get advice from your colleagues.
