Purpose
During the New Clinic Implementation Discovery Phase, clinic stakeholders may request certain reports to be developed based on data points that can be found in Profile EMR. We do have the ability to use the Find Objects functionality to build these reports also known as Queries. The deployment of these queries can be completed before or after Go Live as clinics will not have any data to pull until they start seeing clients. Nevertheless, it it is still very important to understand the reporting requirements very early on in the implementation as it will help you during the design phase.
Note: Reporting is optional during a New Clinic Implementation. Not all clinics will request to have queries to be build for them.

Document Reporting Requirements
Schedule a meeting with Clinic stakeholders to gather and document all about their reporting requirements. Map each column with a Profile EMR field/workflow. Considerations:
Do each of the clinic's current state reports' fields have a corresponding field/workflow in Profile EMR? Will all these reports still be needed in Profile EMR?
What type of data is required?
- QI - 1 month behind
- Commonly recommended to our clinics who do not need live data and run queries at the end of each month
- Prod - Real time
- Clinic who need to run a query that returns live data output. These reports will live in Stored Queries segment of EMR.
- All queries that are put into Production will need to pass the Performance Impact test.
JIRA Set Up
Determine if Reporting is needed:
- If it is, then create a subtask for Report Development.
- If it is not, in the JIRA story for Reporting add N/A to end of the title and leave a comment in the story confirming that the stakeholders have stated that they do not have any reporting requirements.
Develop, Validate and Sign Off
- Design the Find Object Queries.
- Enter in some fake data based on what the Clinic is looking for.
- Run the Queries to ensure they function as expected.
- Validate them with the Clinic Stakeholders and obtain sign off.
- Prior to deployment of the queries, you will need to contact an SA team to get them to run the queries in a Production and QI like environment to understand the performance impact of each query. The SA team member will let you know if they have any concerns about the query.
- If all is well, you can go ahead and prepare these queries for deployment.
