Purpose
Hardware requirements should be identified early in the implementation. Hardware orders can take up to 12 weeks or more to arrive. There might be additional steps involved, for example, adding additional network drops to the exam rooms, which can delay the process.

Instructions
- Confirm the Hardware and Software requirements with the clinic contact
- You may need to help the clinic identify the printer model that they will need
- i.e., Different model recommendation if the clinic will print duplicate OAT prescriptions

- Obtain the request # and follow up with Service desk regularly to make sure the request is being actively worked upon

Now that you have received your label printers, the next step is to request for label printer drivers to be installed in all the workstations that will have a label printer attached. Please follow the attached Label Printer Driver Request Instructions document.

- Send below email to clinic leadership. It is up to the clinic to follow up with their providers.
- Note: Phone app to use as microphone alternative is called Solventum Mobile Microphone App (see attachment)
Dear [clinic leadership],
Many Profile EMR providers utilize Front-end Speech Recognition (FESR) to efficiently dictate their encounter notes. This service is provided by the FESR team. If your providers are interested, please email fesrsupport@vch.ca for access and training information. The FESR team will need from you:
- Team name
- Documentation system: Profile EMR)
- Provider name
- Provider job title
- Provider email address
- Provider LAN ID with domain
Request for Network Drops (optional)
When to request for network drops:
- Inadequate network drops for new printer that was ordered
- Inadequate network drops in a clinician room or front desk
Pre-Requisites
- Initial Site Visit and Network Review completed
- Hardware and Software tab in workbook completed
- Need for additional network drops identified

- Clinic will need to request for a quote to add network drops from the network team. If approved, the clinic needs to create a request through ePro for the addition of network drops.
Validate New Hardware, Software, and Network Drops
Pre-Requisites
- Ordered hardware, software, and network drops have arrived and been installed

- Note: If clinic refuses to order the recommended list of hardware/software, escalate to Stan who may speak with clinic leadership as to clinic implications
