Problem
Currently users have the ability to create Tasks with No Holder (specifically when annotating an Unsigned Transaction). These tasks are hidden in the most common Task View filters. This issue will be fixed in 8.6.
Interim Solution
Starting April 1st 2022, a nightly job runs a macro (VCH - Assign Creators to No Holder Tasks (TASKS_NOHOLDERS)) that modifies the Holder field from blank to the creator.
Exceptions
If the Holder/Creator has an Out-of-Office set, the same macro will send the following email to EMR Help:
Hello EMR Help,
The provider <provider name>, a member of <POS> has created a task with NO holder associated with it. <Provider name> is also currently out-of-office. Action is required for the task.
Task Information:
Patient Filenum: <>
Due date: <>
Subject: <>
Please reach out to the <POS code> clinic and determine who the task should be assigned to in his/her/their absence.
