Overview
There are two important facts to know about VCH Profile EMR application:
- Since Profile is not web-based, everyone needs a health authority (VCH in this case) network access to be able to see the EMR icons to login to the application.
- It’s a Privacy Office requirement that everyone accessing health authority applications MUST have network access as a prerequisite.
In order to get VCH network access, users don’t have to be a full time employee. Locums, non-contract staff, students, etc. – everyone is able to get network access if it’s requested through Service Desk by clinic delegate/manager. Requesting VCH network access for Locums is the same process as requesting access for any other clinic employee.
Once they get network access, they will be able to complete the EMR training, see the icons and use the application just like other clinician.
