Background
When troubleshooting a user's issues, it may be beneficial for you to see their view. This is due to varying combination of role configurations as well as clinic workflows and designs that may have happened in the past.
Solution
In a non-Production environment, change a user's password so that you can log in as if you are the user.
- Log into a Production-like environment (i.e., Support, QA1) with your Sys-Admin account
- If you have the user's login ID, navigate to Organisation > People & Places
- Search for the user and proceed to Step 4
- If you don't have the user's login ID, first find out which users have the role that we want (e.g, Specialty Nurse - STI)
- Navigate to Organisation > Roles > Expand organizational structure on the left
- Highlight role (e.g, Specialty Nurse - STI)
- Navigate to Users tab and select a clinic user
- Change user password
- Double-click their name to open the Clinician window (same window that opens through People and Places)
- Copy to clipboard (Ctrl + C) the user's Login Code
- Navigate to Special tab
- Under New Password and Retype New Password fields, enter "password"
- Click OK
- Login as user
- Navigate to File > Server Login...
- Paste from clipboard (Ctrl + V) the user's Login Code
- Under Password field, enter "password"
- You now have the same view as the user
