Billing Request
When a new billing request is received, you may send the below questionnaire to gather requirements including the type of setup as well as readiness of the clinic.
- Clinic and Clinician Information
- Who is the requestor? Name and role please.
- When is the target go live?
- Which clinicians will be billing MSP via Profile EMR? (e.g., physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing)
- Provide list of clinicians and their MSP IDs
- What is the current state of billing (i.e., no billing, private 3rd party company, etc.)
- Billing Administration and Support
- Who will be the clinic's billing clerk? Who is their backup? (i.e., responsible for processing claims and reconciling MSP remittances and handling rejected claims)
- Does the clinic require any specific reports or reconciliation processes for billing?**
- Does the clinic need training or support for setting up and using Profile EMR for MSP billing?
- Billing Setup and Payee Information
- What type of billing and contract type will the clinic be submitting? Specify the type for each role (e.g., physician shadow billing, NP and RN encounter reporting, longitudinal family physician billing, scheduled billing of code 39 methadone clients, etc.)
- What is the clinic Payee Number? Is it currently active per MSP Teleplan? Is it linked to VCH Profile EMR data centre number (T7326)? The Payee ID tells MSP where record/payment of the claims should be sent.
- Are the clinicians' attached to the clinic Payee Number per MSP Teleplan?

- Are providers attached to a client panel?
- If yes, what is the clinic's facility ID?
