Provincial Attachment System (PAS) Panel Registry and Facility Number POS List

Background

Clinics participating in Provincial Attachment System (PAS) Panel Registry must ensure POS and MSP Facility Numbers are correctly configured in Profile EMR.

Adding a Facility ID to an existing POS is a Standard Order. Refer to the applicable Standard Order article for step-by-step instructions: SO035 POS Facility ID. Facility Number and Facility ID are interchangeable terms.

How to Apply for a Facility Number

Clinic medical leadership must apply directly through Health Insurance BC (HIBC). Confirm below steps are still accurate with HIBC. Approval timelines are managed by HIBC.

Steps:

1. Complete HLTH 2948 – Application for MSP Facility Number (New): https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/forms/2948fil.pdf 
2. Email the completed form to [e-mail] 

How to Cancel a Facility Number

If a clinic closes or no longer requires panel registry, clinic medical leadership must apply directly through HIBC to cancel their facility number.

Steps:

1. Complete HLTH 2949 – Application to Cancel for Facilities with an MSP Facility Number: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/health/forms/2949fil.pdf 
2. Indicate the effective cancellation date
3. Email the completed form to [e-mail]

• POS configuration changes should only occur after confirmation from HIBC
