Reminder to please follow the Standard Order Guidelines on top of the specific instructions outlined below.

Background

Ensure the Point of Service (POS) is a Primary Care Clinic.
Confirm that the clinic has either Dollar Billing or Shadow Billing requirements.

Note: typically users only request to modify as adding a Facility ID is now part of the new clinic setup.

Sign into EMR DEV using a Sys Admin or Support Analyst account
Go to Organizations > People & Places.
Select the POS where you want to add a Facility ID.
Click on the Reference tab.
From the Reference System drop-down menu, select Other.
In the POS ID field, enter the Facility ID.
Click OK to save the updates.
Test the POS
- Perform a quick test by logging into the updated POS.
- Verify that the updated panel is now available in the POS.
If the test is successful, replicate the changes in the Profile EMR Production environment.
Update List of POS with Facility Code article to include the newly updated POS.

Click on the Reference tab.
In the POS ID field, update the Facility ID.
Click OK to save the updates.
Perform a quick test by logging into the updated POS and verify that the updated panel is now available in the POS.
If the test is successful, replicate the changes in the Profile EMR Production environment.
