Retired Standard Order List
Background & Definitions
For more information on Standard Orders (SOs) and how SO Type IDs and SO Categories are utilized in the workflow, see Standard Order Workflow Guide.
The purpose of these ID and category assignments are to:
- Precisely capture data for the monthly performance report - By utilizing the SO Type ID and their associated Category, the data can be extracted by category group for reporting.
- Provide transparency for fulfillment estimates - As the SO analyst would be aware of the expected turnover rate, they can plan their workdays accordingly. Also, when the SO analyst acknowledges to the user that their request was received, they can provide them an accurate completion timeline estimate.
SO Type ID
Each Standard Order type is assigned a unique identifier. The format should match SO### where ### is a unique number. Assignment was and is determined by:
- If an existing SO Type ID is associated to it from the past, before we retired the use SO Type IDs
- Next available incremental number for new SO types
Note: Do not reuse SO Type IDs. Retired SOs may be revived and sharing SO Types IDs will impact reporting.
SO Categories
SOs will be assigned one of the following based on their individual requirements/needs:
| CATEGORY 1 |
|
|---|---|
| CATEGORY 2 |
|
| CATEGORY 3 |
|
Reminder for expected turnover: unless it has high impact/urgency and is approved by EMR team lead/manager, do not deploy on the last business day of the week (i.e. Fridays or Thursdays if the Friday is a stat). Because of this, if a SO Category 1 is received on a Tuesday for example, the person assigned SO duty should try their best to have it deployed by Thursday
