Background
The MSPFEE macro had been defaulting to traditional fee-for-service billing codes for physicians which can be changed to $0 using the SHADOW billing macro. However, there are now clinics operating under Group Contracts, New to Practice (NTP) Contracts, and other Primary Care Network (PCN) agreements who use Simplified Encounter Codes for reporting to MSP/HIBC via Teleplan, such as Home ViVE POS (VIV). For example, instead of billing for specific age-based in-person visits like billing code 0100, the more generic billing code 97512 is used or 97517 for telehealth visits.

A short code was created for POSes that require simplified billing/physician encounter reporting: Simplified Billing POS.
The MSPFEE Macro behaves such that when the Billing POS exists in the Simplified Billing POS, the default billing/fee/service code is 97512 ENCOUNTER CODE - FP VISITS.
