Once MSP claims are created and completed, they must be submitted to MSP Teleplan.
They must be submitted within 90 days of the claim date or they will be rejected and additional work will be required for resubmission.
In the main menu, click Financial and Billing to display the Billing screen.
On the Billing screen, "All Pending Billings" are displayed.
In the "View" dropdown in the top right, the selected filter can be changed to display recently submitted billings.
The list of claims can be sorted by any of the columns, such as Clinician, Client, Service Code or Diagnosis Code.
Beneath the list of claims are the details of the selected claim, and to the right of that are all the diagnosis codes for the selected client (from the client's claims, encounters and/or problem list).
To the left of each claim in the list is a green checkmark indicating the claim is eligible for submission or a red X indicating the claim is not yet eligible for submission and still needs to be completed.
Note that just because a claim is eligible for submission does not mean it will be accepted by MSP Teleplan. The criteria for submitting a claim are much less rigorous than the criteria for accepting a claim, so try to ensure the information is correct for all claims.
To correct claims with a red X, select the claim and view the message near the bottom of the screen (e.g. "Diagnosis 1 field cannot be empty.") which should help you identify the problem. Then update the claim details on this screen, or double-click on the claim to display the claim details screen.
If you do not have all the information required to complete a claim, you must speak with the clinician involved in the encounter.
To submit claims with a green checkmark:
a. Select the claim
b. Confirm all the claim information below the list of claims is correct

c. Click the Process button above the list of claims to submit the claim.
Once submitted, the claim is removed from this list, but can be viewed again by changing the filter in the "View" dropdown in the top right.
