Problem
EMR shuts down when user tries to use the Scan Processor. After the user opens the Scan Processor and selects a document, the EMR stops responding and then they get the following message:
Profile - 8.4.46.2. has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.
Solution
This can happen when there are a large number of documents in the clinic's Scan/Fax folder. When there are a very large number of documents in the Scan/Folder, the workaround to prevent the EMR from shutting down is:
1. Ask the user to create a new folder in the Scan/Fax folder and move some scans/faxes into the new folder.
2. Go into the EMR and process the scans/faxes as normal.
3. Move the scans/faxes from the new folder back into the main Scan/Fax folder and process the remaining scans/faxes as normal.
