Background
New! As of Sep 2022, there is a new process on requesting deletion of results or documents to improve tracking of transactions in Profile EMR. The previous internal help file, Grant User Access to Delete or Move Transaction, has been modified to reflect this new process.
Important! Due to a privacy issue (full name of wrong client is annotated on the transaction of the correct client), moving transactions is now a manual process. After a result or document is scanned into the correct client record, the user may then proceed to request for the result or document to be deleted from the wrong client record.
Step 1: Validate Transaction is Ready for Deletion
See help file on how to Request to Delete a Result or Document.
- In Production, open medical record
- Navigate to Encounters segment and find encounter note titled:
Transaction Deleted from Current Client Record
- Ensure encounter note has been modified such that placeholders for <<Name of result or document>> and <<MRP or delegate>> have been modified
- Navigate to Results segment and find transaction with subject READY TO DELETE (or WRONG CLIENT)
Step 2: Delete Transaction
- Right-click the transaction and select Delete Transaction
- Click Yes when prompted 'Do you want to delete the transaction?'
- Reply to requestor that their request has been processed.

Troubleshooting
While attempting to delete a transaction an error message pops up. This happens occasionally when the transaction hasn’t been “Acquired”.
Error: Cannot reassign the Transaction which is a part of Health Care Record
Solution:
1. Right-click transaction > select Set Properties
2. Tick Acquired checkbox
3. Click OK
